The fascination of ice

Only experienced ice climbers attempt the challenge of the frozen waterfalls in the mountains. For those who prefer their ice horizontal, there is the ice rink in Sarentino Village, with numerous events on offer such as the ice the local version of curling, broomball or ice hockey.

Sarnthein ice rink

The ice rink is open from the end of November until the end of February and has the following opening hours:

Wednesday - Friday: 2 pm - 5 pm
Saturday 1.30 pm - 5 pm
Sunday 10 am- 12 am and 1.30 pm - 5 pm

During the Christmas holidays daily from 1.30 pm - 5 pm

Ice skating on the Durnholzer lake

Occasionally you get a winter where the snow falls later than normal. In such winters, the Durnholzer See lake turns into a giant, natural, crystal-clear ice rink, offering hours of fun to avid ice skaters of all ages. (ice skating on the Durnholzer lake only at your own risk!)
