TRAILS, MOUNTAIN TOURS AND DAIRY HUTS ARE ALL WAITING TO BE DISCOVERED IN THE VAL SARENTINO/SARNTAL VALLEY WITH THE LATERAL VALDURNA/DURNHOLZ AND PENNNES/PENS VALLEY

No such thing as bad weather

Bad weather? No way. “Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather”. These are the words of John Ruskin, a man after our own hearts. We too want to get out walking!

A wonderful sight – the fog rising from the valley floor, the scent of damp rock, the morning sun rising behind the massif of the Sarner Scharte. Up here we have never been troubled by “bad weather”: we like the cloudy days just as much as the sunny ones and we know that, for every day, there is the right way: a walking trail that stimulates the senses and strengthens the muscles, that lets us discover the new while simply having fun. Whether on the valley circular tour, along the meditation path to the Chapel of St. Valentine or up to the legend-shrouded “Stoanernen Mandln” standing stones on the plateau of the Hohe Reisch, the Val Sarentino/Sarntal Valley can offer a fascinating experience of nature to everyone who has a feeling for the wondrous – or would like to recapture it.
